Frame Bases Information

Let us take care of your new garden shed from start to finish. We can remove your old shed, then once the old shed is removed we can measure the area and inspect it to see if a base is required. If a base is required we can offer our wooden frame shed base.

Our wooden frame bases are made from pressure-treated timber. It is made to the precise size of the shed floor and is levelled to suit the ground. This is a great way of achieving a level base, allowing maximum airflow to keep the underside of the shed floor dry. The frame can only be used with wooden buildings that have a structural floor, therefore it’s not suitable for metal and plastic buildings.

We can supply one to suit most of our timber buildings, and we can fit it if we are already doing the shed assembly for you. No ground preparation is required for this base and because our wood is from sustainable forests, timber frame bases are very green and are best for the environment. Wooden frame bases are much cheaper than traditional slab or concrete bases – see our price list below.

It is essential that your building is assembled onto a suitable level base. We cannot stress enough the importance of putting your Ready Shed building onto a solid, flat, level foundation.

If you choose to prepare your base independently you must make sure it is perfect as an unsuitable base will affect the assembly of the shed resulting in problems with door and roof alignment etc. We may not be able to carry out the installation until it is corrected and a fee may be incurred, however, we do offer customised timber frame bases that we can alter at the property for the perfect fit.

Cheaper than slab or concrete bases, wooden frame bases are perfect for sloped and uneven ground. Also allows the shed to breathe underneath. We use high-quality 3×2 and 4×2 wood.
